Martyr: Child Aseel Abdel-Nasser Jaber Abu Asad, 12 years old.
Aseel was afraid and did not want to sleep away from her mother and Ahmed, who both were martyred together. Aseel Abu Asad was a modest and extremely shy girl who loved wearing clothes and cared a lot about her appearance. She always experimented with clothes and changed them until she found the perfect outfit. If given the opportunity to live and grow, she would have studied fashion design or become a fashion influencer. Despite the difficult circumstances of our lives, she was a very generous girl who loved giving gifts to her friends and family. She never burdened her father with expenses and was considerate of their situation. She always saved from her personal allowance as if she were a child deserving to spend money like any other child.
On the night of her martyrdom, she was wearing elegant clothes, and everyone commented on how beautiful she looked that day. She spent the evening at her uncle’s house. Her friends pleaded with her to stay with them throughout the night, but she refused, saying she was afraid and didn’t want to sleep away from her mother and Ahmed, who were martyred together. On October 21, 2023, Aseel was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on their home with her family.

كانت خائفة ولا تريد النوم بعيداً عن والدتها وأحمد اللذين استشهدا معاً” أسيل أبو أسد. وكانت أسيل فتاة متواضعة وخجولة للغاية، تحب ارتداء الملابس وتهتم بمظهرها كثيراً. لقد استمرت دائمًا في تجربة الملابس وتغييرها حتى وجدت الزي المثالي. لو أتيحت لها الفرصة للعيش والنمو، لكانت قد درست تصميم الأزياء أو أصبحت مؤثرة في الموضة. ورغم ظروف حياتنا الصعبة إلا أنها كانت فتاة كريمة جداً تحب تقديم الهدايا لأصدقائها وعائلتها. لم تكن تثقل كاهل والدها بالنفقات أبدًا وكانت تراعي وضعهم. كانت تدخر دائمًا من مصروفها الخاص وكأنها طفلة تستحق أن تنفق المال كغيرها من الأطفال. وفي ليلة استشهادها كانت ترتدي ملابس أنيقة، وعلق الجميع على مدى حسن مظهرها في ذلك اليوم. وأمضت المساء في منزل عمها. توسل إليها أصدقاؤها للبقاء معهم طوال الليل، لكنها رفضت قائلة إنها خائفة ولا تريد النوم بعيدًا عن والدتها وأحمد اللذين استشهدا معًا. وفي 21 أكتوبر 2023، استشهدت أسيل في غارة جوية إسرائيلية على منزلهم مع عائلتها.
