The star of the football team for short people in Gaza, Ahmed Awad Ahmed Suleiman, was killed in an Israeli raid on the Strip, which is suffering from a siege. It is noteworthy that short people did not surrender to their reality in Gaza, and they refused to let their disability prevent them from playing the popular game. They gathered together and decided to form their own football team, which they called “The Palestine National Team for Short Statures,” and it became recognized by the Youth and Sports Authority (a government institution). This is in the hope that it will give them the same opportunity to participate in international tournaments

يذكر أنه لم يستسلم قصار القامة لواقعهم في غزة، ورفضوا أن تمنعهم إعاقتهم من ممارسة اللعبة الشعبية، فقد اجتمعوا معاً وقرروا تشكيل فريق كرة قدم خاص بهم أطلقوا عليه “منتخب فلسطين لقصار القامة” وبات معترف به من هيئة الشباب والرياضة (مؤسسة حكومية)، وجرى ذلك على أمل أن يفتح لهم ذات فرصة المشاركة في بطولات دولية.
