This is a lament for the child Saqr Ahmed AlMasara’i, from one of his mother’s relatives: This is a falcon One of the kindest children I have ever met in my mother’s family. He is close to my heart in a terrible way, I swear. The last visit to Gaza during our gathering at my aunt’s house, he was terribly close to me, with endless conversations. I said to his mother a prayer, “Saqr, my share is over.” He kept telling me pictures of us together. Let’s take pictures together. Saqr today was going to fill my water. هذا صقر
من ألطف وأنجب الأطفال الي قابلتهم في عائلة أمي
قريب على القلب بطريقة فظيعة والله ،آخر زيارة لغزة خلال تجمعنا في بيت خالتي كان ملاصقني لدرجة رهيبة ،بأحاديث لا تنتهي ،قلت لأمه دعاء “صقر حصتي خلص” ،ضلّي يقلي صورينا مع بعض ،يلا نتصور مع بعض ،صقر اليوم كان رايح يعبّي مي هو وأبوه عشان يشربوا ،عبّى صقر مي بس ما لحق يشربها .
