This was the obituary of the victims’ aunt:
To God we belong and that to Him we return. Oh God, grant us the greatest reward, And reward us in our calamity. We mourn our martyrs. The martyr Walaa Saad (AlZari’i), my brother’s wife, and her children Rateel Samir Saad, 10 years old, Abdullah Samir Saad, 8 years old, Tala Samir Saad, 8 years old, Yara Samir Saad, 6 years old, AbdulRahman Samir Saad, two months old. Who died in the bombing of her family’s home in Deir alBalah. To God is what He gives, and to God is what He takes, and our consolation is that Paradise is the meeting place.
Thus was the obituary of the bereaved father:
Shock calms pain and sadness…oh the pain of my heart…in which pain and sadness dwell.. 17..10..2023.. The day my wife, Walaa, and my children, Abdullah and Abdul Rahman, Ratel, Tala, and Yara passed away… The, uh, does not express or suffice.
هكذا كان نعي عمة الضحايا
إن لله وإن إليه راجعون
اللهم أعظم أجرنا
و أجرنا في مصيبتنا
ننعي شهدائنا
