The martyr, Dr. Duaa Khamis Younis.. was the firstborn to her parents. She spent her childhood in the UAE, loving life and being very kind to everyone. She completed her medical studies, married Engineer Ahmed Ashour, moved to Portugal, and had children: Janan, Ismail, and Noor. She was deeply attached to her children. She came to Gaza before the war to treat her son Ismail, unaware it would be her last visit, as death awaited them there. Israeli warplanes bombed the house they sought refuge in Gaza City, surviving but moving to what they believed was a safer place in southern Gaza, as stated by the occupying army. Sadly, Duaa, along with her children Janan and Ismail, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the house they sought shelter in Khan Younis on November 15, 2023, while her daughter Noor survived.
